About the role
- Providing technical oversight to assure GoalZERO HSE performance.
- Ensure adherence to company management systems supporting Process Safety and Process Hazard Analysis.
- Participate, lead, and implement site, regional, and corporate initiatives.
- Ensure that Code of Conduct and all other LyondellBasell policies are consistently followed and administered within the organization.
- Driving improvement through effective gap closure plans for operating units.
- Identifying unit and site-wide improvement opportunities and driving closure of these ideas by effective use of site resources.
- Prepare and manage the Olefins Technical budget in a cost efficient and responsible way that meets the goals of the site.
- Participate actively with the business team to create, plan, organize and execute short and long-range objectives to ensure continued site and business alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively with the other functions at the site to identify integration opportunities and implement these initiatives within your departments.
- Set clear performance expectations, coach and mentor personnel in the technical organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Chemical Engineering preferred) with a minimum of 9 years of experience in chemical plant or refinery operations.
- Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with HSE, operating, maintenance, and engineering processes and procedures, business fundamentals, and shared services role in manufacturing.
- Ability to effectively manage the performance of the technical employees.
- Strong people and organizational leadership acumen demonstrated through previous experience within manufacturing.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface with all organizational levels within the company.
