About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist federal management with budget forecasting, preparation, formulation, presentation, and cost monitoring across multiple portfolios, funds, contracts, and grants
- Compile historical data to support program requirement evaluation and long-range cost estimation
- Review budget proposals for completeness, technical accuracy, and regulatory compliance
- Track financial reports, transactions, and system data; draft specialized financial reports
- Draft, prepare, and track procurement actions and requisitions
- Support Purchase Cardholder or Approver documentation review, invoice reconciliation, and compliance tracking
- Process and track inter-agency agreements, reimbursable agreements, and grants
- Maintain program documentation and tracking spreadsheets; monitor deadlines and review contract deliverables
- Coordinate tools, resource allocations, communications, and project calendars
- Provide logistical support for seminars, meetings, and briefings
- Review draft travel orders and group travel arrangements for regulatory compliance
- Assist with equipment and property tracking and allocation
- Distribute program information and maintain center files and records
- Use Google Suite and web-based program management systems to collect, track, and report performance data
- Facilitate building access and process Common Access Card (CAC) documentation
- Provide backup timekeeping support and research payroll or travel discrepancies
- Assist with evaluation systems, management controls, SOPs, mail distribution, and employee award packages
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) from an accredited institution
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of budgeting regulations and procedures to support budget creation, execution, and long-range cost forecasting
- Experience tracking organizational spending
- Experience reviewing financial system data
- Experience performing variance analysis against budget targets
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work effectively with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to utilize Google Suite and web-based program management systems
