About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Candidate must be capable of performing duties at sea within harsh weather environments.
Requires electronic, electrical and limited mechanical assembly work at the industrial facilities and remote station locations of the NDBC network in support of all operational missions and programs (Weather Buoy, DART, TAO, and C-MAN) as well as considerable travel, including at sea onboard U.S. Coast Guard, NOAA, University, or private vessels.
Perform field assignments as a member or team leader for installation, troubleshooting, repair and de-installation.
Experience with the loading and offloading of equipment.
Knowledge of computer skills Microsoft office suite for completion of test and field related documentation.
Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Two years of experience in maintenance, repair, test and modification of marine electrical and electronics systems.
Experience with the loading and offloading of equipment, containerized or other, in the field, and with the preparation of shipment load list.
