About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Python (e.g., FastAPI, Django)
Own features end-to-end: from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring
Evolve system architecture toward high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability
Design and implement event-driven and messaging-based systems (e.g., queues, pub/sub)
Collaborate closely with Product and other stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
Maintain and improve existing systems, including refactoring and performance optimization
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with common standards (e.g., OWASP)
Contribute to and enforce engineering standards, code quality, and best practices
Drive adoption of modern development workflows (CI/CD, testing, observability)
Participate actively in Agile processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

4–6+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development
Strong proficiency in Python for building production-grade applications
Experience with modern Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or similar
Solid understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture
Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and exposure to NoSQL systems
Experience designing and operating messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, Pub/Sub)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), ideally in production
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and system reliability
Experience with Git-based workflows in collaborative environments
Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex systems
Strong communication skills in English.
