About the role

Lush Spa are looking for passionate and enthusiastic members of staff who wish to train and qualify in body massage with a view to a career as a hybrid Lush Spa therapist.
The hybrid role would allow this person to work within the spa but also display their excitement and knowledge for the spa project whilst driving the sales and business from the shop floor, spa reception or elsewhere within the Spa Store.
This advertisement is for a place on the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Body Massage qualification course only. On completion of the course, you will be required to undertake a hybrid role within the spa store.
As this is such a special path, we are looking for candidates who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from their time with Lush, along with a deep understanding and true passion for our Spa treatments and concepts.
On successful completion of the VTCT course, you will receive detailed feedback on your performance during the training. This feedback will help determine your next steps toward becoming a Lush Spa Therapist. Please keep in mind that the Lush Spa therapist position is finalized once you have successfully qualified as a massage therapist.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Be fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).
At least **3 months** experience working within Lush.
No previous qualifications in massage are required, however a keen interest in Anatomy & Physiology is a bonus.
Be available for 9 weeks training: See below for dates.
Embody Lush five star standards, customer service & ethics.
To be organised, resourceful and adaptable.
Basic understanding of IT equipment and the ability to submit work online.
Proactive with self-development and learning.
Proven record of punctuality and reliability.
Previous shop-floor or spa roles are a bonus.

This course is fully funded by Lush to develop and progress loyal and hardworking staff members by training them to become a fully qualified Spa Therapist.
You are paid for your Guided Learning Hours in training.

All massage therapists will be given Alexander Technique lessons as part of their training to aid the correct use of their body whilst working.
Learners will be immersed in inspiration, have the opportunity to meet the Spa Team, Directors and R&D specialists during training.
Once qualified, therapists will be entitled to complimentary treatments.
