About the role
- Lead the contract renewal process from initial reach out through confirmation for assigned accounts.
- Secure renewals on time while identifying opportunities for account growth (upsell/cross-sell).
- Negotiate renewal terms balancing company and customer goals.
- Respond to contract questions, requests, and escalations; provide creative solutions to secure renewals.
- Manage handoffs to Account Managers and support seamless transitions for clients.
- Maintain product and vertical knowledge; cultivate industry awareness for assigned clients.
- Nurture long-term customer commitments and proactively engage to minimize churn.
- Collaborate closely with Success, Sales, and other internal teams to retain customers and support account growth.
- Contribute to process improvements and support team goals to drive company success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field or equivalent professional experience in a related area.
- 2+ years in B2B SaaS contract renewals or similar client-facing role.
- Demonstrated success securing renewals on time, growing accounts, and retaining clients.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative team member with cross-functional experience.
- Curious nature and ability to think creatively to deliver solutions and connect clients with the proper resource.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, quickly evolving environment with emphasis on innovation and adaptability.
- Strong communication skills and ability to proactively manage churn risk and tactfully manage difficult conversations.
- Effective negotiator with strong presentation and closing skills.
- Experience supporting a portfolio of solutions in a product agnostic, acquisitive environment (preferred).
- Familiarity with one or more verticals and/or prior exposure to serving Fortune 1000 clients (preferred).
- Demonstrated success with assigned book of business across different spend/volume models (preferred).
- Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM system (preferred).
