About the role
- Researching and pitching technical topics aligned with LumiQ’s roadmap
- Scoping episodes intentionally to balance depth, clarity, and audience relevance
- Identifying, outreach to, and coordinating subject matter experts
- Creating interview prep materials and foundational research
- Hosting interviews with senior accounting and finance professionals
- Guiding conversations to ensure they are educational, engaging, and practical
- Reviewing raw audio and making content-level edits
- Writing episode copy, including descriptions, quiz questions, glossary terms, and visual aids
Requirements
- You have a recognized accounting or finance designation (CPA, CA, CIA, CFP etc.) and 5-7+ years of experience.
- You are comfortable working across topics such as accounting, audit, advisory, finance, and emerging trends (e.g., AI in accounting). You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you can quickly synthesize expert perspectives into clear, accurate, and engaging content.
- You are intellectually curious and driven to truly understand what you’re covering, you ask “why” until it makes sense, push past surface-level explanations, and are energized by learning across unfamiliar or evolving topics.
- You are a critical thinker. You use judgment to decide: Which topics matter most, How deeply to cover them, How to structure content for maximum audience value.
- You are comfortable making decisions without step-by-step direction.
- You are highly organized and able to manage many live projects at once. You set priorities independently, make trade-offs intentionally, and keep work moving without needing constant validation.
- You take ownership by default. You anticipate issues, surface risks early, and come to your manager with proposed solutions, not open-ended questions.
- You are confident in communicating complex ideas clearly and naturally, including hosting conversations with senior professionals.
