About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build middleware and integration services connecting Salesforce with internal systems using Kotlin and Quarkus
- Implement both synchronous (REST APIs) and asynchronous (event-driven, message-based - AWS MSK/Kafka) integration flows
- Develop and deploy cloud-native microservices on Kubernetes with GitOps (ArgoCD, Kargo)
- Design, document, and maintain robust Operational APIs
- Keep integration components reliable, secure, and performant
- Collaborate with Salesforce specialists, platform engineers, and business stakeholders
- Perform code reviews, write automated tests, troubleshoot and fix defects
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation on AWS
- Continuously improve integration architecture and reduce technical debt
- Work as part of a cross-functional Agile team in an international environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Kotlin or Java
- Experience with Quarkus or similar cloud-native frameworks (Micronaut, Spring Boot)
- Solid grasp of integration patterns (REST, event-driven architecture, message queues, SYNC/ASYNC communication)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Familiarity with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Kargo) is a strong plus
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Comfort with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
- Experience with test automation and quality-driven development
- Background in middleware/integration development – connectors, adapters, data sync
- Salesforce knowledge is a nice-to-have
- Understanding of API security best practices
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written due to working on a Pan-Baltic level.
