About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build middleware and integration services connecting Salesforce with internal systems using Kotlin and Quarkus
  • Implement both synchronous (REST APIs) and asynchronous (event-driven, message-based - AWS MSK/Kafka) integration flows
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native microservices on Kubernetes with GitOps (ArgoCD, Kargo)
  • Design, document, and maintain robust Operational APIs
  • Keep integration components reliable, secure, and performant
  • Collaborate with Salesforce specialists, platform engineers, and business stakeholders
  • Perform code reviews, write automated tests, troubleshoot and fix defects
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation on AWS
  • Continuously improve integration architecture and reduce technical debt
  • Work as part of a cross-functional Agile team in an international environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Kotlin or Java
  • Experience with Quarkus or similar cloud-native frameworks (Micronaut, Spring Boot)
  • Solid grasp of integration patterns (REST, event-driven architecture, message queues, SYNC/ASYNC communication)
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Familiarity with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Kargo) is a strong plus
  • Experience with AWS cloud services
  • Comfort with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
  • Experience with test automation and quality-driven development
  • Background in middleware/integration development – connectors, adapters, data sync
  • Salesforce knowledge is a nice-to-have
  • Understanding of API security best practices
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written due to working on a Pan-Baltic level.
