About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build middleware and integration services connecting Salesforce with internal systems using Kotlin and Quarkus
Implement both synchronous (REST APIs) and asynchronous (event-driven, message-based - AWS MSK/Kafka) integration flows
Develop and deploy cloud-native microservices on Kubernetes with GitOps (ArgoCD, Kargo)
Design, document, and maintain robust Operational APIs
Keep integration components reliable, secure, and performant
Collaborate with Salesforce specialists, platform engineers, and business stakeholders
Perform code reviews, write automated tests, troubleshoot and fix defects
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation on AWS
Continuously improve integration architecture and reduce technical debt
Work as part of a cross-functional Agile team in an international environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of hands-on development experience with Kotlin or Java
Experience with Quarkus or similar cloud-native frameworks (Micronaut, Spring Boot)
Solid grasp of integration patterns (REST, event-driven architecture, message queues, SYNC/ASYNC communication)
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Familiarity with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Kargo) is a strong plus
Experience with AWS cloud services
Comfort with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
Experience with test automation and quality-driven development
Background in middleware/integration development – connectors, adapters, data sync
Salesforce knowledge is a nice-to-have
Understanding of API security best practices
Fluent in English, both spoken and written due to working on a Pan-Baltic level.
