Develop and execute the vision and strategy for our risk and finance reporting solutions, aligning with the bank’s goals and business objectives
Lead the adoption and implementation of Data Mesh principles, ensuring that data is treated as a product and managed across decentralized domains
Work with data product owners to define, build, and maintain data products that are reliable, accessible, and usable across various business units
Oversee the architecture of data pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, other risk and finance applications, and analytics systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, architects, and platform specialists. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Ensure seamless integration of various data sources (internal and external) into the data platform, using modern ETL/ELT frameworks
Leverage cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to manage and scale the Risk and Finance Reporting products
Implement data governance policies, ensuring data quality, privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, DORA)

Requirements

Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform management, or similar roles
Proven experience leading data platform architecture and implementation in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
Strong commercial experience with Python and Django
Background in architectural and systems design
Solid understanding of data governance, security best practices, and compliance standards
Demonstrated ability to lead and build high-performing teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level.
