About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assists the Branch Manager and/or Loan Originator(s) in managing pipeline in a timely and efficient manner, while obtaining working knowledge of company products as well as private and government insured mortgage guidelines
  • May schedule appointments with potential customers for the Branch Manager and/or Loan Originator(s)
  • Interacts and interfaces, in a support capacity, with all parties involved in each individual loan transaction from application to closing
  • Stays abreast of changes in rules and regulations pertaining to private and government insured mortgages
  • Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including but not limited to understanding the limitations as an unlicensed loan originator assistant
  • Provide exceptional ongoing support and customer service to leads, existing and past clients and partners
  • Assists with general clerical/administrative duties as needed including but not limited to: answering phones, filing, preparing correspondence and memoranda, faxing, copying, and mailing
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • An ability to quickly assess and process large amounts of information and must be able to use designated technology
  • Must continue to expand knowledge of issues influencing the industry and the organization
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented and possess ability to prioritize workload based on loan volume
  • Previous experience working in mortgage or banking related field
