About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Underwrite Non-QM products, including but not limited to Bank Statement Programs, DSCR, Asset Depletion, Foreign National, and Self-Employment
Main point of contact for Non-QM post close credit pipeline
Maintain an underwriting pipeline of new loans and resubmissions that meet standard service level agreements
Evaluate and examine loan files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with investor and internal guidelines to issue loan decisions
Communicate with operations, sales, business partners, maintaining a high level of customer service
Collaborate with the post-closing department on any stipulations for closed files
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
Experience with Non-QM Post-Close credit and manual underwriting
Excellent communication skills
Encompass LOS experience, a plus
Time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
