About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Record and reconcile daily cash transactions
Perform month-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and other related entries as needed
Support lease accounting under ASC 842, including reporting and rent payments
Manage and process broker compensation payments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and agreements
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
Assist with bank deposits and daily Loan Funding and Purchase transactions
Perform additional duties as assigned by the VP of Mortgage Financial Reporting, SVP of Mortgage Finance, and executive leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
3–5 years of accounting or related experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
