About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create contract drawings and tender documentation.
Develop technically compliant customer solutions for LV switchgear, package substations and EV charging infrastructure projects.
Prepare technical submissions, equipment schedules and supporting documentation for tender returns.
Produce and modify electrical design drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software.
Communicate effectively with customers, consultants and internal teams.
Identify opportunities to improve tendering processes, design standards and engineering efficiency.

Requirements

What you’ll need

HNC/HND, Degree, Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Tendering Engineer, Design Engineer, Applications Engineer or similar role.
Experience within LV switchgear for the EV sector, power distribution or package substation design is highly desirable.
Familiarity with electrical distribution systems and associated industry standards.
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
Experience with Siemens NX software is desirable.
Experience using Tacton or similar product configuration software.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) would be beneficial.
