About the role
- Join a team of highly qualified engineers to continue innovation and development of a product using Machine Learning & Big Data to analyze content from several data sources
- Lead a team of developers to increase the product offering of our SaaS built using industry’s latest technologies
- Create processes, execute strategies, and work closely with different team members to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner
- Work directly under the CTO in an agile yet demanding environment
- Lead research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes
- Ensure new features match management technical requirements and product vision
- Determine the need for training and talent development
- Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams and check their team’s work for technical accuracy
- Coordinate work with other managers and staff
- Be a fast self-learner to adapt quickly to state-of-the-art technologies
Requirements
- BA/BS or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience
- Proven work experience as a technical lead, engineering manager or similar roles
- Strong technical background
- Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
- Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel
- Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems
