About the role
- Serve as the primary internal checkpoint for payroll data entered by other departments
- Manage the end-to-end collection and approval process for employee hours
- Record and track fringe benefits within US and international payroll systems
- Partner with payroll providers to manage and resolve payroll tax notices
- Perform pre- and post-payroll audits
- Participate in annual financial and 401(k) audits
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for US multi-state payroll functions
- Support international payroll processes for offices in Amsterdam, Melbourne, and Hamburg
- Provide a responsive, customer-service approach to employee inquiries
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years of payroll experience for 100+ employees
- Strong understanding of US payroll concepts and processes
- Proven track record of managing and reviewing high volumes of data
- Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
- Extreme attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A self-starter with a commitment to excellence
- A team player who maintains an optimistic outlook
