Platform Engineer

• Own the architectural shape of the platform — VPC, managed PostgreSQL, serverless compute, object storage, observability, CI/CD, defined as code.
• Own the security and compliance shape so federal identity standards (SSO, smart-card, federated identity) plug in cleanly when the platform moves into restricted environments: encryption at rest and in transit, audit logging, identity abstraction, tenant isolation, data residency primitives.
• Own architectural portability so deployment in regulated or restricted environments is straightforward when the time comes.
• Own internal developer experience — logs, traces, deploy speed, the local dev loop.
• Be on call for systems you designed; own the postmortem when things break.
• Translate regulatory pressure (FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2, ITAR, or comparable control catalogs) into concrete infrastructure decisions.
• Partner with downstream deployment teams on the handoff into restricted environments.

Principal Platform Engineer

Engineer

• Own the agent layer of the platform — architecture, prompts, tool surfaces, multi-agent orchestration, and the eval loop.
• Set the technical ceiling for the platform’s core capabilities: translation accuracy, dependency-map correctness, hallucination control.
• Drive translation and dependency-mapping accuracy across an unfamiliar legacy paradigm — call graphs, data references, semantic equivalence checks.
• Take on capability bets that don’t show up on most roadmaps yet — agent work at the frontier of code understanding.
• Drive the prompt-and-eval iteration cycle in partnership with the RAG & Eval Engineer.
• Write production agent code daily; subagents and multi-agent workflows are your normal way of working.
• Establish foundations the rest of the team builds against — agent architecture, eval loop, prompt-and-tool patterns, multi-agent topology.

Lead Agent Engineer

Full-stack Engineer

• The Full-Stack Product Engineer takes agent capability and turns it into product.
• End-to-end feature delivery across the surfaces engineers actually use to do their work — code understanding, code translation, modernization authoring.
• Pairs tightly with the Principal Designer in code: Designer absorbs visual-heavy surfaces, the Full-Stack Engineer owns logic-heavy surfaces (authoring, review, agent integration).
• Write specs, ship, watch usage, iterate; close the loop from design through deploy.
• Push back on a spec you think is wrong before writing the code.
• Own the product-quality bar across the surfaces you ship — performance, accessibility, polish, and the moment-to-moment feel.
• Integrate agent output into product surfaces in a way that respects both engineering correctness and user trust.
