About the role

  • Leading and managing multiple engineering teams across various customer-facing domains
  • Setting and evolving technical direction in collaboration with other engineering leaders
  • Driving modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, observability, performance monitoring)
  • Coaching and developing engineering managers and senior individual contributors to achieve technical and professional excellence
  • Partnering with Product and Design teams to define roadmaps, prioritise initiatives, and deliver high-quality customer outcomes
  • Overseeing the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top engineering talent
  • Acting as a senior voice in engineering planning, incident response, and operational readiness
  • Driving continuous improvement and promoting a learning culture within your teams

Requirements

  • Proven Leadership Skills in Global Engineering Functions, organization size 25+ FTEs
  • Proven experience collaborating across various disciplines and organizational structure
  • Ability to swiftly analyze complex problems and communicate them effectively at an executive level
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven track record of managing large technology transformation projects in the financial industry
  • Experienced in agile software development practices
  • High emotional intelligence, able to read the room and understand organisational complexities
  • Coordination of product roadmaps
  • Previous relevant experience: 15+ Years in Engineering
  • Previous exposure to high performance and low-latency messaging development, distributed systems development, exchange and financial background
  • Background as C/C++ Developer
  • Relational Database Skills
