About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for managing a team of auditors and technical experts.
Ensure effective delivery of LRQA's certification and assurance services across multiple sectors and standards.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of employed and subcontracted auditors.
Conduct performance reviews, development planning, and regular feedback sessions.
Support auditors in developing technical and behavioural competencies through coaching and training.
Manage team capacity, recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
Oversee the delivery of audit programmes across assigned sectors and schemes.
Monitor auditor utilisation and operational performance.
Ensure audits are delivered in compliance with accreditation requirements and LRQA management systems.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic accounts.
Act as an escalation point for client concerns and certification-related matters.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of expertise (e.g., Environment, Chemistry, Energy, Mechanical, etc.)
Significant experience in third-party certification, auditing, assurance, or conformity assessment activities.
Qualified Lead Auditor in one or more recognised certification schemes.
Strong understanding of accreditation requirements and certification processes.
Proven experience leading technical teams, auditors, or operational professionals.
Excellent coaching, leadership, and people management skills.
Strong customer focus and stakeholder management capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working within an international matrix organisation.
