About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for managing a team of auditors and technical experts.
  • Ensure effective delivery of LRQA's certification and assurance services across multiple sectors and standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of employed and subcontracted auditors.
  • Conduct performance reviews, development planning, and regular feedback sessions.
  • Support auditors in developing technical and behavioural competencies through coaching and training.
  • Manage team capacity, recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
  • Oversee the delivery of audit programmes across assigned sectors and schemes.
  • Monitor auditor utilisation and operational performance.
  • Ensure audits are delivered in compliance with accreditation requirements and LRQA management systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic accounts.
  • Act as an escalation point for client concerns and certification-related matters.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of expertise (e.g., Environment, Chemistry, Energy, Mechanical, etc.)
  • Significant experience in third-party certification, auditing, assurance, or conformity assessment activities.
  • Qualified Lead Auditor in one or more recognised certification schemes.
  • Strong understanding of accreditation requirements and certification processes.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams, auditors, or operational professionals.
  • Excellent coaching, leadership, and people management skills.
  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working within an international matrix organisation.
