About the role
- To contribute positively to the development and execution of the business strategy by playing a key role in setting direction, prioritising investment, managing risks and driving profitable growth.
- Providing financial and commercial leadership within the management team, challenging conventional wisdom and identifying opportunities to improve the competitive position.
- Act as true business partner to Regional FBP, providing support and challenge to the other functional leads in the management team.
- Provide constructive input into strategic business planning and commercial decision, such as prioritizing technology investments, allocating resources, identifying new partnerships, determining optimal staffing levels and expanding into new services or geographical locations.
- Create tools and frameworks to measure and manage commercial and operational performance in liaison with the Business Controller.
- Lead monthly business reviews with the operational areas providing challenge and support to Management.
- Co-ordinate the annual review of the 5-year business plans.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (CPA/ACCA or CIMA) and currently operating at a senior finance level in a global organisation
- Strong business partnering exposure
- Ability to work effectively and successfully navigate in a matrixed organisation
- Experience of international multi-site and multi-currency organisations
- Experience of working across different nationalities and cultures
- Experience of international multi-site commercial/operational activity
- Ability to understand and assess complex and sometimes unfamiliar situations, visualise solutions and see through to resolution and work effectively within a matrix organisation.
