About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide program management support to application development teams across demand and delivery management, quality management, reporting, financial management, benefits management, and process governance
  • Facilitate and drive Lean-Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Standup, Retrospective, Inspect and Adapt Workshop, Iteration Review, and Demo
  • Plan and execute releases to production, provide release dates and artifacts, and submit Change tickets through closure with Release Management
  • Ensure agreement and transparency across teams, including with the Release Train Engineer
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date JIRA information each iteration
  • Analyze team capacity versus customer demand, including holidays and vacations
  • Prepare and execute PI Planning for the team
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and iteration reports according to organizational standards
  • Track progress of PI Objectives, work in progress, backlog, priorities, dependencies, Commit to Complete Ratio, velocity, backlog readiness, and backlog health
  • Arbitrate and resolve team conflict and understand escalation paths
  • Provide leadership and direction to fellow project managers and scrum masters
  • Identify, track, and remove impediments to program success
  • Assess how individual projects affect the program and portfolio and escalate issues and risks appropriately

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of experience managing development team project and maintenance activities from initiation through production support
  • 4+ years of experience collaborating with Development, EA, QA, Release Management, and Infrastructure teams to resolve technical requirements
  • 4+ years of experience providing written and verbal communication to varied audiences throughout the project lifecycle
  • 4+ years of experience managing project and software development lifecycles using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • 4+ years of working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with various business units regarding project and maintenance efforts
  • Ability to exercise judgment and analytical skills in ambiguous situations
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to see the big picture
  • Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening, problem solving, and communication with technical and business users
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment; proactive information seeking
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project or similar tools
  • A four-year college degree is listed as a preference, preferably in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications, or a related technical field
