About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engineer and architect Data Center, Cloud, and LAN/WAN networking solutions
- Configure and deploy on-premise and cloud-based networking technologies
- Own the network domain as part of the disaster recovery strategy
- Design, deploy, and administer MPLS, DIA, and SD-WAN wide area networks
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement
- Participate in an on-call schedule rotation
- Serve as technical lead, helping drive team direction and mentor team members
- Provide scalable, resilient, and secure networking solutions for LPL, its advisors, and their clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of Data Center Core Network Engineering and Architecture experience in a Cisco-centric environment
- 2+ years of Cisco NDO & ACI, Nexus, and Catalyst experience
- 2+ years of experience in large transformation programs
- 2+ years of Data Center migration and Hybrid Cloud Networking experience
- Strong knowledge of network engineering, network security, and firewalls
- Expert knowledge of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
- Ability to meet designated deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Strong oral and written interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to articulate and educate others about complex technology with business acumen
- Experience designing, architecting, planning, and implementing routing, switching, and data center solutions and strategies in multi-vendor environments
- CCIE certification preferred
- Hands-on Cisco ACI expertise and expertise with Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, and 2000 switches preferred
- Current Cisco Certified Design Professional and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional certification preferred, not required
- Infoblox DNS/DHCP expertise
- Cloud networking experience, such as AWS or Azure
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
