About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • drive sales by identifying and aiding in the recruitment of premium segment financial advisors and teams
  • develop sales and recruiting strategies
  • research, source, and engage with prospects
  • individually own certain advisor segments of the pipeline
  • meet with prospective advisors to demonstrate LPL’s value proposition
  • navigate long sales cycles with multiple buying influences
  • evaluate potential advisors for appropriateness
  • train internal staff on recruiting nuances
  • improve and evaluate recruitment practices and opportunities
  • articulate LPL’s business model and benefits of joining
  • partner with BD leadership team for continual offering evolution
  • identify external organizations and events for new sourcing channels
  • serve as a subject matter expert for the business development team
  • design and test new approaches to attract diverse candidates
  • leverage data to track performance indicators

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • high level of proficiency in the RIA marketplace
  • willingness and ability to travel 60% of the time
  • must reside in and/or be willing to relocate
  • successful track record of managing and closing complex sales
  • enthusiastic, polished, professional demeanor
  • ability to influence decisions and direction across the organization
  • superior verbal, written, and listening skills
  • consultative and relationship building skills
  • team-player with a positive 'can-do' attitude
  • previous experience partnering with cross-functional teams and business leaders
