About the role
- Design, engineer, and operate LAN/WAN and hybrid Data Center (cloud and on prem) environments
- Provide scalable, resilient, and secure networking solutions for LPL, our Advisors, and their clients
- Engineer and architect Data Center, Cloud, and LAN/WAN networking solutions
- Configure and deploy both on premise and cloud-based networking technologies
- Own the network domain as part of the DR strategy
- Design, deploy, and administer WAN technologies including MPLS, DIA, and SDWAN
- Troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization
- Participate in an on-call schedule rotation
Requirements
- 5+ years of Data Center Core Network Engineering and Architecture experience in a Cisco-centric environment
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco ACI/Nexus technologies
- Strong experience in Data Center migrations
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, and network segmentation
- Proven experience with DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
- Expert knowledge of dynamic Routing Protocols such as OSPF and BGP
- Wide area network design, deployments, and administration of MPLS, DIA, and SDWAN
- Experience designing, architecting, planning and implementing routing, switching and data center solutions and strategies in multi-vendor environment
- Proven ability to meet designated deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, both oral and written
- Participate in an on-call schedule rotation
- Cloud Networking (i.e. AWS, Azure) experience (preferred)
- CCIE Certification highly preferred (preferred)
- Cisco Certified Design Professional and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional preferred (not required)
- Infoblox DNS/DHCP expertise (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (preferred)
