Drive Pro sales for assigned and prospect portfolio of customers by conducting market research, cold calling, lead generation, and regular customer meetings at places of business, jobsites and tradeshows
Build relationships with larger Pro customers and leverage opportunities to deploy product and account management solutions
Attend tradeshows and conduct jobsite/customer office visits to introduce product categories, promotional pricing, key product solutions and close sales
Schedule regular visits to worksites to identify additional product needs, take orders and work with stores to fulfill orders
Negotiate pricing and contract terms during customer meetings to close sales
Conduct district research to find highest opportunity pro customers and develop effective account strategies
Work cross-functionally with District Managers, Store Managers, and merchandising teams to bring services and products to increase pro sales
Meet senior purchasing decision makers to conduct supplier annual reviews, coordinate quarterly/annual planning and lead vendor trade shows and board approval meetings
Conduct 12-15 sales calls each week reviewing products, production schedules, delivery timing and new product introductions
Apply consultative selling and proactive follow-ups; update District Manager weekly on sales, opportunities, wins and performance
Influence District and store managers regarding service and in-stock items to assist customer needs
Integrate with customers’ accounting and business operations to support purchasing and accounting system integration
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
3-5 Years Relevant professional sales experience
Experience selling products and services to strategic accounts and/or Business to Business selling
Experience with CRM technology
Preferred: Sales experience in the maintenance, repair, operations, construction, home improvement, or property maintenance industry
