About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Enable delivery of contracts from signature into operations so projects deliver low-carbon energy
Manage day-to-day relationships and assigned contract portfolios of approximately 20 projects
Conduct site visits, communications, document management, and reporting
Own and manage contractual processes and issues, including disputes and escalations
Apply contractual judgement in line with LCCC guidance
Collaborate with counterparties to satisfy contract requirements and enable commencement of payments
Ensure contract compliance relating to Fuel Measurement and Sampling, Renewable Qualifying Multiplier, and other Sustainability Criteria
Understand financial and technical analysis and procure and manage external advisers when necessary
Provide analysis and advice on existing or new schemes and other LCCC functions
Interface with Legal, Data & Analytics, Finance, Ofgem, EMRS, DESNZ, and other stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Relevant commercial experience in operational delivery of construction or energy contracts
Experience with contract reviews, negotiation, change management and administration, claim/dispute management and settlement
Technical knowledge of engineering in wind, solar, biomass, waste, tidal stream, hydrogen, CCUS, or comparable technologies
Ability to maintain multiple stakeholder relationships and undertake stakeholder management
Experience with relevant legal, regulatory, and contract management issues
Commercial acumen in analysing and collaboratively solving complex commercial and contractual issues involving multiple millions of pounds
Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Relevant power generation, hydrogen, CCUS, or energy-sector experience is desirable
Understanding of UK energy policy and regulations is desirable
Contracts for Difference experience or knowledge is desirable
Project finance transactional experience is desirable
Proven project management experience is desirable
Must possess an independent, pre-existing right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is unavailable
