About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyse new and developing energy policy to understand operational impacts, risks and delivery requirements
  • Help turn policy proposals into clear, practical requirements for settlement processes
  • Support implementation of levy-funded schemes and reforms, including CfD, Capacity Market, Nuclear RAB and emerging policy initiatives
  • Work across internal teams to understand system, process and funding impacts and support effective delivery
  • Engage with government, regulators, electricity suppliers and other stakeholders to support policy implementation and operational alignment
  • Review legislation, guidance and internal documents to ensure they are accurate, clear and consistent
  • Maintain clear internal and external knowledge materials.
  • Represent Levy Operations in meetings and forums, providing updates on scheme delivery and operational impacts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Commercial experience in the energy sector, public policy, or a similarly regulated environment
  • Ability to work with incomplete or evolving policy and turn it into clear, practical requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks, impacts and delivery challenges.
  • Ability to take ownership of work and apply judgement in a complex environment.
  • Experience supporting projects, change initiatives or policy implementation.
  • Ability to understand complex material, such as legislation, technical documents, or settlement processes.
  • Superb communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
  • Experience working with stakeholders across different teams or organisations
  • Understanding of electricity or gas market arrangements, settlement processes or electricity supplier obligations
  • Experrience on policy or regulatory change programmes
  • Familiarity with system or operational change
  • Experience working with government, regulators, or energy industry participants
