About the role
- Collaborate with the data modeling team to meet with business stakeholders across departments and gather detailed data and reporting requirements
- Document source-to-target transformation rules in Excel, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations
- Analyze source systems and datasets using SQL to understand structure, content, and quality
- Work across a variety of business functions within the Energy and Utilities sector, helping uncover insights and inform data design decisions
- Support UAT and validation by comparing expected vs. actual data transformations and results
- Help improve internal documentation standards and support clear communication between business and technical teams
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst, preferably in data lakehouse or BI projects
- Proficiency in SQL, hands-on enough to query and analyze raw data from source systems
- Strong skills in Excel, especially for documenting mappings and transformation logic
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Curiosity and interest in learning how different functions operate within the Energy/Utilities industry
- Experience with data projects (ETL, data modeling, reporting) is a plus, but deep engineering experience is not required
- Familiarity with Databricks
