About the role

  • Leading a modern Accounting team, striving to be a value adding function to the business (technical and disciplinary responsibility).
  • Ensuring appropriate and efficient accounting processes in all sub-ledgers of the 3 German entities.
  • Ensuring local tax compliance in close co-ordination with our Group Tax Manager and our local tax advisors.
  • Coordinate the timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements together with the team.
  • Be the main contact person for our auditors.
  • Coordination of tasks related to tax audits.
  • Cash Management, organization of the regular payment run and administration of bank accounts (set-up, accesses, authorizations, etc.).

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • First experience in leading accounting teams and strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of national and international accounting standards (IFRS, German GAAP).
  • Experience with German and international tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and conducting tax audits.
  • Knowledge of cash management organization and bank account management.
  • Focused on process management, including the ability to streamline and optimize accounting and tax processes.
  • Confident and proficient in using ERP systems, with no hesitation in navigating and utilizing their accounting modules.
  • Effective communication skills with various stakeholders, including auditors and tax authorities.
  • Detail-oriented with high problem-solving skills.
  • High self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken; German language skills are a plus.
