About the role
- Be the first Forward Deployed Engineer at Lovable
- Create a new function at the intersection of engineering, product, customer success, and research
- Partner with customers building never-seen-before AI systems
- Build product features based on real-world behaviors and emerging patterns
- Influence our core product direction and technical roadmap
- Deploy intelligence into the real world
- Work directly with customers to understand their workflows, needs, and problems
- Design and implement solutions for our customers that integrate with Lovable
- Translate insights from real usage into foundational platform improvements
- Own projects end-to-end — from idea → architecture → shipping → iteration
- Shape how Forward Deployed Engineering works at Lovable (rituals, playbooks, org design)
- Contribute to core product strategy, technical decisions, and cultural foundations
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack products
- Proficiency in modern frontend (React/TypeScript) and robust backend development
- Strong architectural thinking and familiarity with distributed systems
- Ability to rapidly prototype, experiment, and learn from real usage
- Exceptional product intuition and ability to work directly with users
- Comfort operating in high-ambiguity, high-agency environments
- Bonus if you’ve worked on agentic AI systems or built with LLMs before
- Led zero-to-one product development
- Worked in a founding or early startup environment
