About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining and documenting vital signs and chief complaints
- Prepare examination rooms based on patient needs
- Perform phlebotomy and obtain specimens for processing
- Administer vaccines and complete required documentation
- Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG and Pulmonary Function tests under physician supervision
- Screen and direct patient calls according to established protocols
- Contact patients regarding prescriptions and testing results as directed
- Perform daily regulatory testing and document results
- Maintain clinical supply par levels
- Perform front desk duties including patient registration, billing, and appointment scheduling
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–3 years of similar job experience in a medical office preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant
- BLS Certification required
