About the role
- Delivers radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Performs CT Simulations as directed by the Radiation Oncologist; to include fabrication of positioning and immobilization devices, tattooing and simple beam modification devices.
- Performs Daily Quality Assurance on both the Linear Accelerator and CT Simulator.
- Appropriately and accurately documents in electronic medical record and written medical record.
- Explains procedures to patients thoroughly and ensures understanding.
- Reviews each chart for accurate documentation and for changes in prescription, written orders, or patient setup parameters.
- Maintains the appearance of the treatment room and CT Simulation room throughout the day by keeping the room neat and orderly.
Requirements
- 1 year experience preferred
- Certificate of completion/degree from an Accredited Radiation Oncology Program
- ARRT accreditation in Radiation Therapy
- NJ State license in Radiation Therapy
- CPR certification
