About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assess and prioritize requests together with the Data Analysts team, considering complexity, effort and business impact.
Support communication between PMs and the data team, ensuring clarity on deadlines, scope and technical feasibility.
Guide and provide technical support to the Data Analysts team, contributing to the development of dashboards, analyses and data layers in Looqbox.
Conduct regular 1:1s with Data Analysts to monitor technical development and performance.
Work alongside Data Analysts and PMs on a daily basis, serving as the senior technical reference for the data team.
Ensure that clients' objectives and needs are correctly translated into metrics, KPIs and data requirements by the team.
Guide and review more complex exploratory and ad hoc analyses (cohorts, funnel, segmentations, performance variations, root-cause), acting directly on the most critical cases.
Define guidelines and ensure consistency of the semantic metrics layer (definitions, business rules, dimensions) and the team's documentation.
Establish and review data visualization standards and the quality of the team's deliverables.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience in Python (pandas, numpy, notebooks) and SQL.
Previous experience managing or leading people/teams.
Ability to assess priority and technical complexity of requests, and to negotiate deadlines and expectations.
Good verbal and written communication skills, with ease transitioning between technical and business language.
Descriptive statistics and basic notions of inference.
Programming best practices: version control (Git), documentation, refactoring.
Intermediate English.
Nice to have:
Experience with AI tools applied to data.
Experience in the retail sector.
Experience with medium and large enterprise clients.
Dimensional modeling and building semantic layers for analytics.
Orchestration/ETL tools (Airflow) and non-relational databases.
