• Gather evidence and conduct civil lawsuits
• Draft legal documents and advise clients about their legal rights
• Interview clients and witnesses
• Handle case preparation details for client legal representation
• Represent clients in court and before quasi-judicial or administrative government agencies
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients and the client community
• Conduct outreach and community education
• Work with the community to further LSLA’s mission
• Supervise and coordinate subordinate legal, clerical, volunteer, or student workers as needed
• Handle a caseload and major litigation
• Attend evening legal clinics
• Participate in community education
