About the role

  • Perform comprehensive testing on products, systems, and processes to identify potential issues, bugs, or areas for improvement related to functionality, performance, and usability.
  • Establish benchmarks for program efficiency, including operating and response times, to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Develop deep expertise in the products being tested and the needs of their end users.
  • Create detailed test plans, reports, and documentation outlining testing methodologies, results, and technical findings.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of organizational standards and procedures for software testing.
  • Review computer logs and system reports to identify program processing errors and recommend technical improvements.
  • Identify program variances from established standards and recommend modifications to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • Ability to collaborate closely with QA testers and developers to clearly communicate bugs, issues, and project status.
  • Strong interest in learning the intricacies of the software being tested to provide effective quality assurance.
  • Experience with software testing tools or testing suites and an understanding of how they integrate into the development process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills when working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and emotional intelligence when navigating complex technical or interpersonal challenges.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems by gathering and analyzing information and developing solutions collaboratively.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development processes.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
