About the role

  • Review title orders in accordance with company guidelines to evaluate the condition and insurability of titles.
  • Analyze documents such as deeds, deeds of trust, mechanics liens, tax liens, judgments, assessments, and probates to determine their impact on the title.
  • Conduct thorough research and review of public records and legal documents to establish ownership, legal descriptions, and any title-related issues.
  • Identify title defects or discrepancies and develop appropriate solutions to resolve these issues.
  • Clearly explain the chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to clients.
  • Adhere to production targets and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in title examination.
  • Comprehensive understanding of real estate law, title examination processes, and the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and organizational proficiency.
  • Familiarity with title examination procedures and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
