About the role
- Lead, architect, and develop features for the Risk Cloud platform.
- Develop and utilize Angular, TypeScript, and other front-end tools to build a market-leading product.
- Write tests and review code to facilitate an efficient dev cycle and prevent bugs.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and QA using Agile methodologies to iterate on feature work.
- Optimize the front-end application for speed, reliability, and scalability.
- Balance hands-on development with architectural leadership to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Advocate for and implement modern engineering best practices (testing-first mindset, frequent releases, iterative development with small feedback loops).
- Produce clear documentation for features and processes.
- Mentor team members and foster cross-functional collaboration to raise the engineering bar.
Requirements
- Significant (6+ years) professional experience in software engineering or a Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field (we value outcomes over a number of years).
- Desire to grow as a leader, architect, and coder within an engineering atmosphere that moves quickly and strives to raise the bar.
- Understanding of best practices and competency in one or more modern languages (it doesn't have to be a language that is part of our stack).
- Strong expertise developing web applications with modern front-end frameworks.
- Experience with Angular, TypeScript, Webpack, Sass.
- Familiarity with back-end technologies: Spring Boot, Java, Kotlin, Go.
- Experience with data technologies: Neo4j, Redis, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL.
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools: JUnit, Jasmine, Spectator, Cypress.
- Experience bolstering or optimizing CI/CD systems.
- Experience with accessibility standards, practices, and tools.
- Experience with infrastructure and DevOps: AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible.
- Familiarity with GitLab, Slack, Jira, Confluence, and G Suite.
- Desire for an autonomous environment that enables you to do your best work.
