About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You are responsible for the networking of our customers' Kubernetes environments.
You develop and operate our CNI stack (focus on Cilium) for high-performance, latency-sensitive clusters.
You work closely with Kubernetes, infrastructure, and network teams to ensure a stable, secure platform.
You proactively detect and resolve network issues using observability and troubleshooting.
You evolve our network infrastructure to be scalable in line with the growth of Logicalis environments.
You collaborate with colleagues across data center, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Practical experience with Cilium CNI or comparable high-end CNIs (configuration, lifecycle, operations)
Deep knowledge of the eBPF datapath, policies, load balancing, and Cilium architecture
Solid knowledge of cloud networking: VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups/ACLs, NAT, ingress/egress
Experience designing multi-tenant network architectures with high security requirements
Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, ECMP, MTU/fragmentation, and overlay/underlay technologies (VXLAN, Geneve, ...)
Expertise in L3–L7 observability and complex troubleshooting
Experience with service mesh, multi-cluster networking, and Cluster Mesh
Fluent English (C1); fluent German is a plus
