Key responsibilities & impact

Prospecting and Opportunity Mapping: Collaborate with Sales Executives to map the Telco customer ecosystem.
Identify operational and business pain points (OPEX reduction, infrastructure modernization, network monetization) and develop proactive approaches to generate pipeline.
End-to-End Solution Engineering: Design complex, feasible technology architectures encompassing connectivity, network core, AI, automation, and observability.
Prepare technical scopes, Bills of Materials (BOM), level of effort (LOE) estimates for services, and High-Level Designs (HLD).
Leadership in Competitive Procurement Processes (RFP/RFI): Lead the technical strategy and response to tenders and complex procurement processes, ensuring technical requirements are met, risks are mitigated, and proposals remain competitive.
Technical Advocacy and Engagement: Deliver executive presentations to C-levels and directors, and run technical workshops (whiteboarding) with client engineering teams.
Structure, defend, and oversee Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and demonstrations, highlighting the solution's Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI).
Act as a Trusted Advisor (Generalist Perspective): Navigate multiple domains (e.g., SD-WAN, 5G, cloud-native, AIOps, SRE) to create unified value propositions and position yourself as the client's primary technology advisor.
Internal Orchestration and Partner Ecosystem: Ensure a quality handover to Engineering and Delivery teams, guaranteeing that what was sold will be delivered with excellence.
Actively engage with vendors and strategic technology partners to co-design solutions and support negotiations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Industry Experience: Proven, substantial experience working within the telecommunications operators ecosystem, with a deep understanding of market dynamics, long sales cycles, and mission-critical architectures.
Multidisciplinary Technical Background: Strong knowledge in:
- IP/MPLS/SR architectures, SD-WAN, mobile networks (4G/5G), TelcoCloud.
- Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and cloud environments.
- Infrastructure automation and orchestration solutions.
- Observability concepts, AIOps, and SRE practices applied to complex environments.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and persuasion skills, emotional intelligence to handle objections, and the ability to translate "bits and bytes" into financial and operational value.
Language: Advanced/Fluent English (reading, writing, and speaking for negotiations with global vendors).
