Key responsibilities & impact

First point of contact and support for Patient Accounting team members, patients, clients, providers, payers, and other departments
Identify and report payment issues and discrepancies
Train and support new and current team members
Assist leadership with special projects
Analyze account data to resolve claims and payments
Post payments and adjustments according to policies
Document all communication professionally and accurately
Review account information for accuracy
Interpret explanation of benefits (EOBs) for payment discrepancies

Requirements

What you’ll need

1+ year of experience in claims, billing, or collections
2+ years in a business office setting
Associate's degree in a related field
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and training skills
Previous hospital or medical office setting preferred
Knowledge of claim resolution and payer regulations preferred
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
