About the role

  • Evolve and modernize self-service applications with a strong emphasis on scalability and observability.
  • Design and implement integrations with insurers (REST APIs, authentication, resilience, idempotency, and versioning).
  • Design and build .NET microservices using Redis caching to improve latency and reduce load.
  • Ensure end-to-end quality (automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, monitoring and alerts).
  • Work closely with Product and UX to validate hypotheses quickly, measure impact, and iterate based on adoption metrics.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience in .NET (C#) on the backend and Angular on the frontend, with full-stack experience building digital products.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices (design, contract versioning, inter-service communication, observability).
  • Redis (distributed caching, invalidation/expiration patterns, cache-stampede mitigation).
  • B2B integrations via APIs (REST), including authentication (OAuth, mTLS or similar), security, rate limiting and resilience.
  • Engineering best practices: automated testing, code review, clean code, CI/CD.
  • Ability to lead technically, influence decisions, mentor peers, and help build the team (hiring, onboarding, technical standards).
  • Messaging (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and event-driven patterns.
  • Nice-to-have:
  • Experience with feature flags, canary/blue-green deployments, and SRE practices (SLA/SLO/SLI).
  • Front-end performance (bundle optimization, lazy loading, Web Vitals) and accessibility (WCAG).
  • Integrations with financial sector/insurer partners or experience in highly regulated/compliant environments.
  • Soft skills:
