About the role

  • Responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting and financial operations
  • Manage core financial processes, ensures accurate reporting and compliance
  • Support planning and decision-making across projects
  • Collaborate with project, operations, and leadership teams for financial insight
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior leadership
  • Forecast business performance
  • Oversee accounting operations including accounts receivable and payable
  • Develop budgets and financial forecasts in partnership with external CFO
  • Lead relationship with Justworks for payroll accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with payroll and benefits regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors for compliance
  • Manage vendor contracts
  • Guide complex financial transactions
  • Evaluate financial impact of new initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Controller or in a senior financial role
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency with accounting software, including QuickBooks; experience with Bill.com is a plus.
