About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ongoing financial accounting including account reconciliations as well as monthly and quarterly closings
Preparation of VAT returns and support in preparing annual financial statements according to HGB
Full, independent responsibility for the accounting of our Dutch subsidiary
Handling intercompany topics and managing posting interfaces in the cross-border context Germany / Netherlands
Building and safeguarding shared accounting know-how across both jurisdictions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5 years' professional experience in accounting
Experience as the sole or independent accountant with responsibility for complete bookkeeping processes
Completed commercial training or a degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on finance, accounting or controlling
Solid knowledge of financial accounting, account reconciliation, VAT and HGB annual financial statements
Knowledge of Dutch accounting standards is a definite plus
Practical experience with an ERP system; DATEV knowledge is a plus, especially for payment transactions
Good to very good Excel skills
A structured, careful and independent working style
A pragmatic, resilient personality with clear communication skills
Very good to fluent German; very good English; Dutch is a welcome additional plus
