About the role

  • Performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures.
  • Work is checked in progress or on completion.
  • Performs one or a combination of such typical duties as assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
  • Be ready to cross-train across any engineering technician area in the ISS Contract including but not limited to Torpedo Depot and Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA) for 3-6 month rotations.
  • Note some rotations will require full body PPE for extended periods of time.
  • Rotation assignment is at the discretion of the coordinating Task Leads, the Deputy PM, and the PM.
  • Some roles may require employee be occupationally exposed to hazardous substances such as Otto Fuel II, lead, chromium, or cadmium.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • At least one (1) year of experience providing industrial operations support.
  • Some manual lifting up to 75 pounds may be required with this position.
  • May be required to complete a fitness-for-duty physical/screening, as required by the government for work in specific shops.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Licensed and certified to operate 6,000-pound electric and diesel forklift and CAT III overhead crane preferred.
  • Ability and experience to operate pallet jack and Big Joe stand-behind pallet lift mechanism.
