About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and optimize warehouse layouts to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement processes for inventory management and control.
- Develop and maintain documentation for warehouse processes and procedures.
- Build and analyze KPI to identify trends and areas for improvement in warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate warehouse systems with other business processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
- Provide technical support and training to warehouse staff on equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize distribution strategies.
- Support the implementation of automated systems and robotics in warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations or related engineering roles.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with process optimization and lean methodologies.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, SQL, or similar.
- Familiarity with automated warehouse technologies and equipment.
- Ability to design and implement efficient warehouse layouts.
- Experience in inventory management and control practices.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
- Certification in Six Sigma or similar methodologies is a plus.
