About the role
- Reviews designs and provides preliminary strength/stress assessments
- Analyzes engineering designs, schematics, and customer specifications to determine stress requirements
- Formulates mathematical analysis or finite element model of product
- Analyze ability of product to withstand stress imposed by conditions using mathematical formulas and computer simulation
- Prepare preliminary stress analysis reports and provide information to supervisor or lead
- Capable of airframe structural analysis for static and fatigue stresses
- Perform structural analysis on conceptual layouts as well as detail components
- Consult with Design Engineer to assess design modifications based on results of stress analysis
- Participates with other staff to contribute to project completion
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum of 5-9 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry or in a related field
- Intermediate knowledge of finite element modeling
- Familiarity with MS Office products
- Basic knowledge of CATIA V5
