About the role

  • Reviews designs and provides preliminary strength/stress assessments
  • Analyzes engineering designs, schematics, and customer specifications to determine stress requirements
  • Formulates mathematical analysis or finite element model of product
  • Analyze ability of product to withstand stress imposed by conditions using mathematical formulas and computer simulation
  • Prepare preliminary stress analysis reports and provide information to supervisor or lead
  • Capable of airframe structural analysis for static and fatigue stresses
  • Perform structural analysis on conceptual layouts as well as detail components
  • Consult with Design Engineer to assess design modifications based on results of stress analysis
  • Participates with other staff to contribute to project completion

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 5-9 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry or in a related field
  • Intermediate knowledge of finite element modeling
  • Familiarity with MS Office products
  • Basic knowledge of CATIA V5
