About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide comprehensive financial planning services to members and prospective members using a goals-based advisory approach
  • Evaluate member financial situations, assets, liabilities, objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizons to develop personalized financial strategies
  • Recommend investment and insurance solutions aligned with members' financial goals
  • Conduct portfolio reviews and ongoing financial planning discussions
  • Educate members on investment principles, retirement planning, wealth accumulation, risk management, and financial planning topics
  • Build trusted relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service
  • Achieve production goals and service objectives for assigned branches and book of business
  • Develop relationships with current and prospective members through referrals, networking, and proactive outreach
  • Partner with branch teams to identify financial planning opportunities
  • Conduct financial planning seminars, workshops, and educational events
  • Maintain member contact to identify emerging needs and additional advisory opportunities
  • Manage sales activities, pipeline development, and follow-up efforts
  • Represent LMCU within the communities and markets served
  • Coach and train branch employees on identifying member needs and referral opportunities
  • Support branch sales strategies, financial planning discussions, and member education initiatives
  • Collaborate with Mortgage, Business Banking, Premier Banking, Consumer Lending, and other business lines
  • Coordinate referrals and information sharing across the organization
  • Follow broker/dealer, insurance company, and organizational policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, licensing requirements, BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and industry standards
  • Support sound risk management practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Three to five years of financial advisory, wealth management, investment, or related financial services experience required
  • Demonstrated success developing client relationships and achieving sales and production goals
  • Experience providing comprehensive financial planning, investment, and insurance recommendations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required
  • Series 65 or 66 license required
  • Life and Health Insurance licenses required
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, investment products, retirement planning, and insurance solutions
  • Knowledge of financial markets, portfolio management principles, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Proficiency with financial planning software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze complex financial situations and provide appropriate recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
  • Exceptional relationship-building and consultative sales skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Strong member service orientation
  • Business development and networking capabilities
