About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and enforce reference architectures, patterns and blueprints for secure cloud adoption across Azure, GCP and hybrid environments
Conduct threat modelling and security assessments for new cloud services
Define preventative and detective controls through security guardrails to maintain secure posture and detect drift
Partner with engineering and product teams to embed security guardrails early in design
Ensure compliance and resilience
Review external architecture proposals and identify security gaps
Document and uphold secure-by-design principles and architecture governance
Collaborate with senior partners to articulate security risks and mitigations
Anticipate customer needs and take proactive steps to address them
Help modernise Lloyds Banking Group’s technology and security capabilities to protect customers and enable innovation at scale

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong technical expertise and a passion for security
Experience making risk-based decisions and adhering to regulatory and internal security standards
Experience identifying threats and mitigations for complex cloud systems through threat modelling and risk management
Broad knowledge across security domains within Azure/GCP and SME experience in at least one area
Familiarity with AWS is desirable
Knowledge of AI/ML threats and risks, with experience applying security controls for secure deployment of AI services in cloud platforms
Experience with CI/CD security, including secure software supply chain
Experience with key, certificate and secrets management
Experience securing user/non-user access at scale through identity and access management
Experience with Kubernetes (AKS/GKE/Istio), API security, and IaC security (e.g. Terraform, ARM templates)
Knowledge of Zero Trust, firewalls, segmentation and DDoS protection
Knowledge of security logging, SIEM integration and event correlation
CISSP, CCSP or equivalent certifications would be great
Azure Security Engineer Associate or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification would be great
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Professional Cloud Architect certification would be great
Relevant transferable experience is accepted
