About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Finance Business Partnering activities
- Provide day-to-day partnering support to Divisional Finance teams
- Present management reports to senior stakeholders, including the Group Cost & Investment Director
- Explain results and issues in a relevant and understandable way
- Identify and assess risks to the Finance BAU cost profile and collaborate on mitigation actions
- Build relationships with Divisional Finance representatives and develop a robust ‘no surprises’ culture
- Work with divisional Finance teams on investment-related benefits, including oversight and independent review of SI benefit validation and reporting
- Provide financial governance and oversight, including SOX and balance sheet control
- Engage fully with relevant Signature and Essential Actions
- Ensure divisional Finance areas are interlocked on investment and project benefits
- Guide and support three direct reports through regular check-ins and coaching
- Engage with the Centre of Excellence to maintain communication and standards of inputs and outputs
- Embed Lloyds Banking Group culture and vision through visible leadership and role modelling
- Support planning, forecasting, challenge and analysis for accurate and robust Finance BAU plans
- Partner with Divisional Finance Directorates covering approximately £240m in annual spend
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise effectively and deliver to deadlines
- Deep financial experience and understanding of core financial principles and controls
- Knowledge of risk and cost management
- Strong Finance business partnering capability
- Ability to work constructively with stakeholders across Finance
- Ability to engage in constructive challenge to support robust decision-making
- Ability to apply judgement to resolve issues, escalate when needed, and collaborate with stakeholders
- Ability to build effective working relationships across Divisional Finance and Finance Platform teams
- Strong leadership capability in a small team environment
- Ability to prioritise work, provide direction, and support team members
- Comfort managing urgent requests and changing priorities while maintaining delivery of core activities
