About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Line manage and mentor an engineering team, building a high-performance culture and developing modern engineering skills
- Transition infrastructure operations from ClickOps to DevOps through automation, delivery through code, and continuous improvement
- Provide hands-on DevOps engineering expertise across Infrastructure as Code, Policy as Code, CI/CD, API-driven automation, automated testing, and observability
- Own and drive the technical product roadmap for infrastructure and tooling across secure enterprise browser and server security products and services
- Work with Product Owners on roadmap development
- Ensure the team adopts agile ways of working and continuously improves delivery flow
- Maintain relationships with internal product teams and external vendors to ensure service quality
- Balance usability and security to provide effective end-user experiences while maintaining security posture
Requirements
What you’ll need- A few years of hands-on modern engineering experience across infrastructure, policy as code, and configuration as code
- Recent delivery experience using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub, Terraform, PowerShell, and Python
- Proven success in system automation, API integrations, and ongoing improvement
- Around 5 years of leadership experience in infrastructure engineering with line management responsibilities
- Strong technical understanding of server endpoint security on Windows and RHEL
- Strong technical understanding of secure browsing solutions
- Experience with server EDR vendors such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike Falcon, or SentinelOne
- Experience with secure browser tooling such as Island or Palo Alto Networks
- Relevant transferable experience accepted from varied backgrounds
- Familiarity with additional endpoint security tools/platforms is advantageous
- Previous experience with JIRA or ServiceNow is advantageous
- Participation in an out-of-hours or on-call rota is advantageous
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, CISSP, CCSP, or cloud security credentials are advantageous
