About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a specialised cyber threat intelligence team responsible for identifying, analysing, and producing actionable intelligence on significant cyber threats
- Ensure intelligence is embedded in security systems and controls
- Ensure cyber defence teams are threat-led to protect the UK's largest digital bank
- Set direction and lead high-performing specialist teams in a complex organisation
- Drive the embedding of threat intelligence into security operations and control systems
- Drive operational excellence in the collection and analysis of threat intelligence using leading CTI and AI tooling
- Turn complex intelligence into practical recommendations and measurable outcomes
- Influence senior leaders and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
- Develop people and challenge established thinking through inclusive, improvement-focused leadership
- Shape security policy, operating models, and priorities across multiple security disciplines or teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant cyber threat intelligence experience
- Strong knowledge of adversaries, campaigns, and intelligence-led cyber defence
- Experience setting direction and leading high-performing specialist teams in a complex organisation
- Deep knowledge of intelligence tradecraft, including intelligence requirements, structured analysis, and clear assessment of uncertainty
- Technical credibility to embed threat intelligence into security operations and control systems
- Capability to drive collection and analysis of threat intelligence using leading CTI and AI tooling
- Record of turning complex intelligence into practical recommendations and measurable outcomes
- Ability to influence senior leaders and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
- Inclusive and improvement-focused leadership style that develops people and challenges established thinking
- Formal intelligence training or qualifications would be useful but are not essential
- Strong intelligence tradecraft developed through relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of formal training or qualifications
